Vic – Melbourne (7 October, 2017) – Johnson Health Tech Australia (JHTA) has signed a sponsorship agreement with former elite road cyclist Joanne Tralaggan, naming her brand ambassador for Wattbike.
In October this year Wattbike, makers of the world’s most advanced indoor bike, announced that it has appointed Johnson Health Tech Australia (JHTA) as its distributor throughout Australia. JHTA currently sells and services Wattbike’s Pro and Trainer models across the country.
JHTA Managing Director Gary Peak says the sponsorship agreement with Joanne, who is a passionate advocate of Wattbike as a high performance training tool, will help leverage the brand name even further within the Australian market. Joanne used Wattbike when racing with the Elite Road Cycling Team - Holden Women's Racing. The Wattbike was also instrumental in her achieving an Australian Record for her age group in the Individual Pursuit in March 2015.
“In deciding on whether to engage an ambassador, and if so, who to approach, we look to maximize awareness of highly leverageable strategic products within target market segments. We endeavour to enlist the support of individuals who are prominent in their chosen pursuit with a strong base of followers, and who are highly engaging and extremely articulate”, said Gary Peak. “Joanne brings all of these attributes to our program. Jo goes far beyond delivering effective presentations in formal settings. She maintains regular contact with her social media followers promoting Wattbike via the athletes she is currently coaching, thereby keeping Wattbike in a very prominent light. Joanne fully understands Wattbike and the true essence of the Pro and Trainer, and is very much in synch with those inclined to buy them.”
“With the added bonus that Joanne holds Bachelor of Business – Marketing Major and Bachelor of Arts in Sports and Exercise Management degrees, there’s no question she understands how to promote a product. Jo also fits in extremely well culturally with JHTA. We are thrilled to have her on-board.”
Joanne is a former elite road cyclist, National Road Race Stage Winner, Australian Record Holder and 4 x State and 4 x National Champion on the Velodrome. Her passion extends to Coaching and she is currently Road and Track Skills Coach and Level 1 Road and Track Cycling Coach coaching 4 athletes.
